Philosophy 

In my 29 years as an Investment Consultant, I have boiled the investing process down to a simple formula; Goals – Plan – Portfolio. 

Goals – The first and most important thing is to get a complete understanding of your most cherished goals – what and who you’re investing for. 

Plan – Next, we figure out how much you are going to need in order to achieve those goals and which asset classes have historically been most likely to produce the returns you need to achieve them in the time allotted. My mission in life is to help people make the right kind of plan and be a successful investor. 

Portfolio – Finally, we create a diversified set of specific investments within those asset classes – a portfolio. Then it becomes a matter of monitoring your portfolio and helping you stay on track to successfully pursue your goals.

Experience 

Since 2016 I have been an Investment Consultant and Program Manager for Financial Quest a subsidiary of Seneca Savings. Prior to joining Financial Quest, I spent 11 years at Janney, Montgomery, Scott LLC. I started my career in 1992 with Tucker Anthony. 

Personal Life 

I have been married to my best friend Andrea since 2019. Most of all I enjoy spending time with my family which immediately consists of my wife, three adult children, Brenden, Kylie and Jacob and three grandchildren, Ophelia, Harrison and Theodore. In my down-time I enjoy reading, playing drums, learning guitar, golf, the Buffalo Bills and building an extensive music collection.

Kim started her career as a Sales Assistant with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC in 1999 playing a key role in the growth of the office, she rose to Licensed Operations Assistant.  Kim has also obtained her series 7,9,10,63 and 66 licenses along with her NYS Life Accident and Health.  Kim also completed the requirements through the College of Financial Planning in 2015 to obtain the Accredited Wealth Management Advisor, AWMA®, designation.  Kim recently also obtained her NYS Property & Casualty license.

After 17 years at Janney Kim saw an opportunity and joined Financial Quest as a Licensed Operations Assistant, recently being promoted to LPL Licensed Operations Manager.  Kim supports Greg as well as working with clients to help with operational support.

 Kim lives in Pennellville NY (“the snow belt”) with her boyfriend Karl and cat Oscar.  Kim has one son, Alleister, who works with the disabled, is a personal trainer in his home gym and competes professionally as a Body Builder after winning the first Mr. Natural Upstate New York title.

Amanda Amerlino is our newest member of the team! Amanda joins us as Client Service Associate. Amanda has been in the banking industry since 2017 as a bank teller, associate banker, and even a medical secretary before returning to her calling in finance. 

Amanda has been a military spouse for 10 years, most recently leaving Hawaii in 2017 and now has come back home to NY.  

Amanda lives in Baldwinsville, NY with her husband, daughter and two kittens. She loves graphic design, woodworking, and crafting.

We’re truly thrilled to have her on the Financial Quest Team.

Speaking with people over many of his personal experiences growing up, it became clear to Ethan that majority of people do not have a firm grasp or positive outlook about investing and managing their money. Often, they were not shown the tools that would enable such individuals to effectively budget, or save for life goals like purchasing a home and retirement.
